That is a beautiful bike. I got to ride somebody’s Kawasaki 350 bighorn some years back... I have to respect anybody that could thrash a big 2 stroke like that back in the day!

My first bike was my Dad’s 1970 Honda XL500S and I still ride it sometimes. I love that bike

Old dual sports are some of my favorite bikes. I had a Yamaha DT175 for a short while that I got for free that I was really hoping to get running. After spending money on all the wrong parts I determined it wasn’t worth rebuilding and sold it at a loss. I did manage to get it to run but compression was nearly non existent and a new top end was going to cost a fortune (only NOS parts available). Now I’ve got an ‘82 XR200R (another free bike) which I’ve probably spent a little too much on, but this one does run and should be a good reliable machine.

Still though, I’d love to have an old dual shock, metal tank dual sport.

Cool! The left-hand kick is so strange and even more strange to use. I really like the 70's-era bikes.

My first dirt bike was a Can-Am ASE 250. Just like the one above. I’m not sure what they were thinking with the suspension travel. It was sooo tall for a dual-sport. Scared the absolute shit out of me at 14.
